Judd Gregg had just found out that Obama is a democrat who believes in government intervention in order to, let's say, stimulate the economy by investing billions of dollars in projects.
Are you freaking kidding me? This from the person who apparently went to Obama begging for the post, according to the White House?

The real reason Gregg chickened out is that he was feeling the heat for not voting on the stimulus. Gregg had not resigned from his post of Senator and refused to vote on the stimulus. He had no choice. Vote yes with the democrats and have the entire GOP gunning for your head. Vote with the GOP and Rahm Emanuel would be asking you "Are you with us, or against us, Greggy boy?"
The rest of it is Washington inside baseball. Push came to shove, GOP said a bunch of stuff to Gregg, his replacement; the white house via Rahmbo took the census out of the commerce department, and Gregg went back to his family.
Just don't tell us you just found out what Obama's positions are.
Post partisanship. How's that working out for you, Barack? Just nominate a freaking democrat!!! The commerce department is irrelevant anyways. Why don't you eliminate it all together now that you brought the census to the White House?
