It was very windy here today. Wind gusts were 50 miles an hour which is high for Long Island. But God still put on a nature show for us today. All these pictures were taken from my backyard at different times of the day. Starting at 7:30 am when the air was still fairly calm, till sunset around 5:30 pm when the winds were gusting.
Early morning the moon was still out.
Another shot of the early morning sky.
The sun was starting to peek around my house and shine on the trees in the back.
Middle of the day got cloudy and colder and the geese starting flocking back to the sod farm.
They only landed for a short while today and then they took off again. Must have been too windy out there for them.
The sunset started and the sky continually changed.
It went from very bright orange and yellow
to where it started to get blue and gray.
Then back to the yellows and oranges
Then a mixture of all the colors
And back again to blues and grays.
Every time I looked out the back door, it would change again.
And then it all became blue and gray again and the sun faded away.
