We are born without any convictions either way. The opinions expressed by those around us as we grow up are what influence our beliefs and many people do not ever change when they reach adulthood.

My grandmother was a closet Democrat. My grandfather was an open Republican (though not very vocal- we just all knew). I did not grow up with my dad but he is one to thrust his beliefs on others. He was/is VERY conservative. My mom is a liberal. She has never tried to throw her beliefs of anything at anyone. She goes as far as to give no opinion whatsoever and will never make suggestions unless you insist. I have no idea what my step-dad was.
Those were the main people in my life. I grew up not caring either way. It wasn't until a few years ago that I started to realize everything affected me and that my voice mattered and was important. Now I am registered Democrat. Sometimes I disagree with Democratic ideas, sometimes I agree with Republican ideas.

I have a hard time believing I was born political at all...maybe I was better off that way because now I have an opinion about everything...LOL

I have never been a Conservative or a Liberal..I have never voted a streight ticket. I always have voted for who I felt could do the best job. This last time was very hard given the mess this country is in. I didn't vote for Obama simply because I feel he doesn't have enough experiance for the job. Maybe in afew mores years, yah. Well, he is Pres now, and I wish him well for the sake of our country. =)

I didn't grow up caring about politics at all. I think for a while I was a conservative Democrat. Now I call myself a Republican but I don't always agree with everything they do.

I went back and forth in my younger years. 8 years of Bush 43 pushed me further leftward.

I was born into a conservative family. What am I now? undecided. conservatively liberal perhaps...or maybe liberally conservative... And no fun when it comes to talking politics. (I tend to keep my opinions to myself.)

I was born to challenge everything, it is how I learn, and keeps me covered in challenges. LOL
So I guess I was actually born a Moderate, because I seldom if ever take things on face value.

I think I have always been a Liberal but I was a registered Republican because all of my family were very Conservative. It took me about 50 years to realize my beliefs were much more Liberal than Conservative. I care about other people and I have never had any desire to be rich. (But I'd like to be richer than I am now!)

Let's see: Sun opposite Uranus is a natural iconoclast. Sun in Capricorn tends to conservatism (the old-fashioned kind: "use it up; wear it out"); Mars in Aquarius tends toward working for an ideal of equality and freedom. I was born to question authority and look for better ways to be human.

Both my parents were "Taft" Republicans and my father drifted further the the right from there. I grew up in West Texas, a very conservative area. I was a strange kid in many ways and since we moved a lot I was always an outsider anyway. When I got work in Washington D.C. the leftists hated my views. Then I worked in Georgia and the folks of the right hated my views.

Today I consider myself a member of the up wing politically. I think both left and right have got it all wrong. (See www.nopom.info for details.)

I was raised a conservative, was even one of those shiny Young Republicans in a suit before I could vote. Over time, my parents have mellowed a bit, but except for some big issues, I am even more conservative.

I was born a baby. :D I think I was one of the puppies in the famous Reagan puppies joke: They were liberal puppies at the DNC, and then a week later they were conservative puppies at the RNC. When asked why these were now Republican puppies, the boy selling the puppies said "they have their eyes open now" nyuk nyuk nyuk
