We have finished six steps so far. I am introducing another assignment known as Creative Currents. We will do these in between steps. The first one has two-parts to awaken your creativity. By now, your body is beginning to weigh less. It is because of the power of water. It lightens and adds light. Water, combined with oils, salts, herbs, can be healing to your entire being.
The sea has special abilities to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit. When you are near the sea, you have a feeling of well-being. This is because large bodies of water have highly charged electromagnetic fields around them that create negative ions.
I want you to recreate the regenerating properties of the ocean in your own home by using sea salt (one pound).
Fill up your tub with hot water - but not really hot or you'll get tired out. Put in the sea salt and soak for ten to thirty minutes. If you want, light a candle, have a glass of wine, play music, clear your mind. You may also use your loofah, starting with your feet and moving upward toward your head. Afterwards, you'll feel refreshed as well as rejuvenated. Shower with cold water for more energy. I realize many folks do not have a bathtub so just shower with your favorite gel and use body oil on your skin. Now, you are ready for the writing part of this:
Envision yourself near a body of water. It could be the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans, the Caribbean, the Aegean Sea, a north woods lake, a flowing brook, the Atchafalaya Basin, Bayou Teche, the Mississippi River, Lake Erie or any body of water that you choose.

Write in a poetic form, paragraphs, or free form. Write in first person, third person or metaphorically (you are a wave). You may be someone else, Aphrodite or a mermaid. Perhaps you would like to create a visual representation of what you are seeing or feeling or remembering in the form of a collage, photographs, drawings or paintings. Maybe you have a pleasant memory you've reawakened. Fantasize. Let your imagination drift, let your creativity float and let the words flow. Thank you. Salud

Richard, you will always be a member of this group because we plan to all fly to your place for a convention!
Mona, I knew you'd love this and did think about your bathtub - sorry! Salud
I am doing the Health Journal Contest and the requirements are to post one post each day. I have been posting them to the Shedding light group as well. Today was day 2. If you would rather me not post them to this group, that is ok. I will not be offended. Just email me and let me know. :)
Thanks for all you are doing. You are one great lady and you are helping many of us.
Jerri, your area sound really beautiful -I know I would love it there as I like that kind of woods - reminds me of the Northwoods of Wisconsin in the good ole summer time. Sorry about the bridge - bet you had fun anyway. Thanks! Salud
I find that I eat more when I'm very tired, and my choices are likely to be much heavier than normal. I made a conscious effort tonight to eat lightly; today after lunch I wanted more to eat and had an extra piece of fruit. Getting enough sleep definitely makes a difference!
Still, I recognized the change in appetite and made healthy choices anyway! YAY!
I'm looking forward to doing this; either tomorrow night or Saturday. Friday night I will be "dog-sitting" at my parent's house and won't be able to use their bathtub (long story).
And before sunday at midnite i have to put in 30 hours at the office, I so hate that place. That in itself is enough to make me looney. We have Mardi Gras starting in houma on friday nite, thibodaux the parades start on sunday. I will see if the kids and I are going or not, depends on how my son is doing.
I would be in the pirogue going down bayou Lafourche or sitting in Grand Isle dreaming of what a normal like really would be like.
I have one I brought back from a trip that I never got around to even opening up. I've no idea where this is leading, so we'll see, I'll be as surprised as you and my achy - gardening - bones will appreciate the soak.
Mariana, sorry about the Healthy Living Journal - that's a gather contest which is only running for a 3 to five days. I figured it would work great as an ongoing progress report alongside your group. I saw it as an additional motivator for me, I need all the help I can get and it helps me stay focused on my goals.
Put a book together and send it to Oprah..she'd love it!! ;-)

Tonight, I am going to imagine myself at a really deserted ocean scene. I am going to have my husband with me though. The kids are gone for a couple of days to Nana and Papa's house. I will be thinking light and sexy. ha ha ha ha
