More Snow Over Night

I got up this morning to go to work only to be sent home. It seems nobody wants to get out and drive in this stuff to get their dogs groomed. I just don't understand. LOL.

We have almost a foot of snow now, in my yard anyway. When I went to work this morning the plows hadn't been through yet. In fact, I've only seen one plow and it was on the other end of town. My side of town still hasn't been touched.

LOL, Moggy. It was 70 degrees here a few days ago too. We're kind of getting used to expecting the ups and downs of the temps here.

So you guys have that kind of weather too? It was 17 here at one point last week. We never know how to dress and we have to keep clothes for all seasons out all year. I love it.

It's been a year since I drove in any snow, maybe I should come up to get my dog groomed, ha! I like driving in it sometimes... fun stuff in my truck... ;-)

The first time I ever laid eyes on a REAL "desert" was when I was 15 going across country through NM and AZ to TX in the early part of February... It seemed so STRANGE to me (and still does!) to see snow on the mesquite and cactus everywhere! lol! Flagstaff had a half a foot or so of snow on the ground the first time I ever saw it... It was FREEZING! In a DESERT! So, SO strange!! :o)

William: It's too damn cold to build a snowman. If my mom comes up between storms we might just build you one. LOL.

Mom: Okay, you'll have to come up between storms so you can catch the next one. I believe there's another one coming Thursday.

Here in Tucson, no show. But all around us many towns closed school because they don't have the equipment to make the roads safe. One reason I love AZ is because it has such a varied environment. High mountains in the north and even here in the southern area, beautiful lakes and tall fir trees, saguaro cactus, and desert sands. And of course the grand canyon. No hurricanes, tornados, volcanos or earth quakes. So it's a little warm in the summertime. So what.

Beautiful snow pics of the trees and snow. I think we switched states. That is a typical scene in Indiana right now. However, over the weekend we warmed up to a balmy 60 degrees, and our foot of snow melted. Our normal right now is about 30. It's starting to head back down that direction.

I can handle that snow because I'm sure it won't stick about for two months. The snow is finally melting here.
