Hey guys, I had an awesome time at the shoot around. Charlie Criss, point guard for the Hawks in the early 80s was my personal coach. When he wanted me to take a break, I told him that it took me 57 years to get on an NBA court I wasn't going to miss a second of it. I went 0-3 in field goal attempts, 4 assists and 1 rebound. The most important thing is that I did not twist an ankle and I had fun.

I'm headed back out to Phillips Arena for tonight's game between the Washington Wizards and the Atlanta Hawks. I'll be in one of those executive suites. What a way to top off a grand day.

I could only stomach one half of the game. I left with the Hawks up 53-37. What struck me is that half the seats were empty. Yet I had one heck of a day.

Let's just say I was the oldest guy on the court. I ran with the best of them and had a good time. I hope I can work out something similar with the Atlanta Braves this year. Now that will really be fun.

Lee P, I am not sure if I ever had it in basketball. I was a baseball player and the language on the court was foreign to me. I had a good time and did not get hurt. I had a good stretch before the game and did not have any soreness the next day.
