How I feel now...

How I feel is in between, trying to make perfect sense,

Happy I feel most the time, sadness is always around,

Comfortable in, my own place, people I care not so well,

A glimpse of confusion, of how I feel, lord please help me right now .

 

Everyday drama fills my space, trying to keep my head,

Praying others will find there way, let it happen somehow,

Too much pain this life can bring, please, show them the way,

Cause how I feel now cannot last forever, let it get better one day.

 

The hurt in the world, the vast unjust ways,

Consume my being, try as I may,

Murder, abuse, souls led astray,

Depict how I feel, each and every day.

When we are open to really feeling, in this crazy world, we certainly leave ourselves open to the pain. An individual cannot change the whole world, so there's no chance we won't feel bad. But, an individual can change some lives and so we'll always have that joy, too. It's good to read my thoughts in another's work. It tells me there is hope for a better world.

Being a sensitive person can be a double-edged sword; it fosters empathy for others but it also causes pain for individual as they observe the many injustices in life. Still, it's better than being insensitive.
