Chris Brown Beats Rihanna. No-Show at Grammys.

Curious as to why Rihanna and Chris Brown never showed up to perform at the Grammys? The couple pulled out of the awards show following a domestic assault on Saturday night. Allegedly Chris Brown beat Rihanna during a fight that escalated while driving in their car. When the police arrived, Rihanna had visible injuries and identified her boyfriend as the attacker; but Chris had already fled the scene. He later turned himself into police tonight. Chris Brown was scheduled to sing "Forever" at the Grammys and Rihanna was to perform "Disturbia" and "Live Your Life" with T.I.

This is a shocker. Who would peg Chris Brown as the wife-beater type? He's had a clean cut image and great reputation prior to this. Could this ruin his career? Rihanna needs to leave him...NOW! I hope this experience will empower her as a woman (and as a singer).

I agree with that. However, some women use that to their advantage. A woman has no right to come after a man with a weapon. No one has their right to assault someone else regardless of gender.

Look we don't know the full story, I'm not trying to make any excuses for chris brown but maybe she took the "verbal disagreement" to far and he lost his cool, or maybe she hit him or something and i don't know if anyone has been clawed by a bitch but it takes some serious resolve to not slap a hoe

I think what Marcus was insinutating was that it could also have been self defense. If someone is using a weapon, male or female, you do have that natural response to protect yourself. I don't read his omment as saying she had a weapon, that is your insinuation.

Personally, I don't follow either singer. I also do not think it is right to hit anyone, male or female, but that doesn't stop other people from doing it. I know the way my brothers and I were raised, and until now I never really understood all that can happen in these situations. I have a female in law who is very physical, and the male in her life takes it. People can get hurt when they are the abuser as well, don't forget that and a lot of times people jump to conclusions and always blame the male.

I think we should let the investigators do their job. It might not be as clear cut as some assume.

At least the reputable sources for news/information exercised restraint in jumping to conclusions, unlike this post. There was no evidence to support that the woman involved was Rihanna, and no evidence that she was 'beaten', which is inflammatory and irresponsible considering the facts known at the time. I'm disappointed that Gather staff members would resort to "yellow journalism" to achieve some end.

I am disappointed that you feel the need to act like an authority figure here. Tell me, do you leave these types of comments on any post that discusses a current news event?

Given that Chris Brown and Rihanna left a grammy party together in a rented Lamborghini within an hour of the "alleged" incident -- I have a strong suspicion that it will prove that it was indeed Rihanna who was as police described "a woman with visible injuries who identified Chris Brown as her attacker." I am honestly shocked by this one. One of my son's all-time favorite Elmo songs is the Chris Brown/Elmo Signs. He really has a good reputation.

marcus brooks made a really good point on another post - Chris Brown is probably going to lose his Wrigley's deal as a result of this mess.
Simply goes to show that exterior softness does not always reflect on the inside of a person's charachter. We shall see, I suppose, in excruciating, detail precisely what went down. sigh

The man is innocent until proven guilty.

But if he is I hope they throw the book at him. I am so sick and tired of wealthy people getting away with stuff. And I think it's high time that our society send a message to those who resort to violence. You will no longer be tolerated. Anyone who physically assaults another human being in any scenario other than self defense will be punished.

And if you want to send a message to a famous person who thinks they can break the rules and get away with it. Then stop buying their stuff.

How many ppl would act cool if they thought they had a std???? Not many and if u do its bcuz ur ignorant to the fact the herpes never go away. Nd if this isnt true females are very aggressive now a days he probably had to fiend for hisself..but idk i just think we dont know everything and their is a such thing as photoshop where pictures are edited..get on it..i just cant believe its one persons fault..SORRY...but God Bless both of them bcuz itz stress that could have easily been avoided.
