Look What We Got This Morning

This is what I woke up to this morning. The first few pictures were taken before it was light out so they are a little dark. Then we took a ride out to Green Valley Park and took some shots. I think our neighborhood got more snow than the rest of the town. (Payson, Arizona).

I'll take some more of that our way! We had temps in the 40's today so now everything is starting to look brown and melty. It needs a good covering to make it pretty again!

Payson must not be in the desert part of AZ, eh? Or is this an unusual event? All the photos are awesome, but I love the one of the roadway. Then again, you did a great job capturing the snow as it fell in those pictures of the statues, making the term "frozen in time" really come to life.

LOL everyone. I don't really like snow that much either. I like it more here because it usually melts off pretty soon and I don't have to put up with it for too long. Come on up Mom, you can if they don't close the highways down.

Great shots! We don't get much here in SC, so when it does snow I love that everything is white. Then it melts by the end of the day.

The pic of the road is really pretty. Also the ones of the trees and the birds in the stream. In Indiana we just got rid of most of our snow, and like the person above mentioned, you are quite welcome to keep it!

Oh how fun...when I lived in Arizona, we didn't get snow....and we didn't get any snow here in my area of Georgia either.

How neat. I like that very early morning effect of blue in those pictures; plus the others are great too. I like that tree as well a lot.
We got super loud crackling thunder and rain early yesterday. The first one made me and my dog Maggie jump in our chairs while Gathering, LOL. It was LOUD... shook the house.
Did you guys put in for Elk and/or Antelope yet? Filled mine out last night.

Beautiful shots. That large tree in the early morning is wonderful. Tucson didn't see any snow in the valley, but Mt Lemmon and the Santa Catalina's got some above 6000 feet. So pretty to see the white mountain peaks. I had to slow down for several watery "dips" last evening on my drive to work at 5.

I was wondering if y'all got any snow today! Just saw a bit on the news from their reporter in Flagstaff. Tourists sitting in the hot tub at a hotel (in swim suits) wearing their hats with snow on them. I had a good day due to the rain down here in the lower (desert) part of the state. Very pretty pictures!

Vern: We've had snow off and on all day today. At first it was rain, then wet snow, now it's snow that looks like it's going to stick.

John: Yes, we did put in for elk. Robert doesn't put in for antelope because we've heard horror stories about how much they stink and the meat isn't that good. Have you ever hunted them?

OMG Toni, you should be getting more tomorrow morning I'm sure the storm that just hit me is coming to all of you in Az. We had heavy rain, hail and snow, but haven't had time to take any photos. And then they are calling for more rain to hit thursday all the way intill next week so get ready for more..

Tanya- she Gathers everyday right here beside me. I do the typing for her, she tells me what to do, LOL.

Toni- sure have, mostly archery and one time gun. The worst thing about Antelope hunting is the heat... August with no shade... it's friggin' HOT out there. They are easy to find, harder to get, they can see you coming for miles....

LOL, thank you, Karen. You should come up to the mountains. It gets warm during the day but not hot. I love it and I'm soooooo glad I don't live in the valley anymore.
