In the TV was a programm about Shakespear's The tempest. At first is there to say that at his time and for centuries to come, paintings and mostly plays were about the ruling classes. Other people appear only at the frame of the visibility of these classes; out of that frame the author does not bother with them any more.
Secondly it goes on there a kind of these nusty men-massonries where the woman that does not fit in their scheme is bad uggly old and also just disappears ... Not much different than in the magic flut where the bad is the black man and the aging woman, while the white men of all ages are wise good and superior. In shakespear we have also the jweish merchant as another example of discrimination. Andf in the tempest in particula they pointed out some aspects of 'good and wise' colonialist and uneducated and evil native ...
Shakespear's work are in large great psychological works but there are also these week points that us in our days have to consider, study and chenge in and around us!
