Oh yuck.......that's one thing I never do......never have, never will! Whenever I cook, I always put everything else aside and concentrate totally on cooking/baking!

I've done that before, LOL. I forget about EVERYTHING when I'm 'seriously' Gathering! Like now. . . it's WAY past my bedtime and we have to check out of the hotel early tomorrow morning to drive for 15 hours. I should probably get to sleep. *sigh*

LOL, I know how you feel. I sometimes think i have short term memory. The other day I put a pizza in the oven and never took it out, I completely forgot til I smelled something burning. I still can't believe I forgot.

You need to implement voice recognition for hands free writing! Dragon Naturally Speaking worked well for me 10 years ago when I couldn't type due to overuse injuries (from typing)- it is probably far better now. The only problem is, if anyone else says something, it shows up in what you are "typing" too. My old boss would come into my old office at my old job and say something, and there it would be, on the screen.

I must admit i have done that several times not due to gather but on computer. I am forever burning grilled cheese, i walk away to do something else and it takes off. You are not alone. I have been know to burn a dinner or two.

I'm with Steph, my timer goes with me or I burn stuff always. I'm actually cooking right now. We're eating really late tonight for various reasons. The main one is just that my husband was hungry at like 6 and my chicken wasn't ready to be cooked yet, so he fixed a snack for everyone. Anyway, now my chicken, potatoes and mushrooms are in the oven making my house smell yummy. The timer on the stove is on, and so is the one sitting right here! :)
