The scripture I feel led to share today is one I have lived and I know it works if you will put it into practice.
Matthew 6:33 - Seek (aim at and strive after) first of all the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), then all these things (whatever you need or want) taken together will be given you besides.
Joshua 1:8 backs that up. It says This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth (meaning it should be spoken over and over again), but you shall meditate (think on) it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. Then you shall make your way prosperous, deal wisely and have good success.
Part of the challenge is that you have to do these scriptures and unfortunately a lot of people, even Christians, see the Bible as a storybook, a history book or a religious book but it's not. It's a handbook for living. "It's the wisdom of Almighty God written down for you so you can apply it to your life and circumstances." (quote by Gloria Copeland)
The thing is that the Bible isn't something you are supposed to put on a coffee table and open once in a while to impress someone. It's a manual on how to live so that you will be wise, healthy, whole, at peace and prosperous in every area of your life - spirit, soul and body.
If you don't know where to begin with that, I'll tell you. Start by reading Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and the Book of Acts. That will give you a great starting place.
For now, that's the Word For The Day so have a blessed day and may God empower you to prosper in all areas of your life.
