Every year about this time we go to a special town to shop. It's our way of treating ourself after filing taxes to celebrate our sizable return... and just to get out of the house! There's not much to do in the middle of the winter, you know!
So, we piled in the car and headed to our destination. Along the way we stopped for photos, but the snow on the trees had melted and didn't appear as pretty as it was last year when we didn't have a camera. Some of the prettier places we couldn't stop on without being stuck in snow on the side of the road.

It looks a little like spring!

Gideon's noticing some signs of spring: The melted snow shows grass, leaves and more.

He decided to look a bit more for more signs, but we called him back. It was time to move on to go shop!

In the car we popped in No, Virginia and the first song was Dear Jenny. Haha. I love how some CDs show the song titles.

We arrived to our destination and Gideon chose a nice wooden toy set: Cars, signs and a nice display case for them all. :)
Then he saw the gems. He loves his gems, but he calls them rocks. LOL

He filled one of those pouches with several stones and took them home happily.

One of the other stores had these pretty glass balls in the window. I couldn't help but to photograph them.

All in all we had a fun trip and most of all - we got out of the house for a bit! :)

thanks for sharing your day of shopping
Now, since I've already paid "an arm and a leg" in taxes...and have more to pay...could you send me a little something?
;-)
Okay...just spend some more on that sweet child and stimulate the economy!
