The CA octuplets mom, Nadya Suleman, admitted in an NBC interview with Ann Curry to having six embryos implanted in a fertility treatment center despite knowing that industry guidelines recommend no more than
two for woman under 35.
Nadya Suleman told Curry that she knew there was a possibility for multiple births and claims she understood the risks.
"I wanted them all transferred," Nadya Suleman told NBC's "Today" show host Ann Curry. " Those are my children, and that's what was available and I used them. So, I took a risk. It's a gamble. It always is."
The 33-year-old single, unemployed woman who lives with her parents has been harshly criticized for having a fertility procedure and risking multiple births when she already has six children, ages 2 to 7.
Reports are now saying that Nadya Suleman plans to sell her story for over a million dollars. NBC is claiming that they did not pay the interview (hmmm).

What burns me up is that an unemployed woman can somehow qualify for fertility treatments, when I work and can't even get decent health insurance.
But this is America and we do seem to care more about the people who won't work rather than those who do work.
If this woman isn't living proof that we need to start issuing licences to become parents, or permits for babies, nothing is.
If you are REALLY focused on "what is best for the children," shouldn't you have at least a JOB, if not also a partner, to help raise your children before you have 14 of them!? It has got to be absolute BS that she is able to contribute anything to their upbringing without having an income.
I think it is awesome that he mother is actually speaking her mind about the situation rather than trying to be nice & PC for the media.
