Dr's Appointment Outcome

I went for my 2:55 pm appointment with my physician, today.  I had a 15 minute wait before being called in.  I figured I would be waiting in the room for a bit, but to my surprise he was ready to see me before the nurse was done taking my vitals.

He examined my right leg and asked me how I was doing.  I told him that most days it bothers me but yesterday was the worst day this week.  He had me read the MRI report.  I have knowledge of the medical field so I understood what it said.  I thought before reading it that my meniscus was just stressed.  That isn't the case.  It's a subtle oblique tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus extending through the infaraarticular surface. 

This isn't good news to me.  He is having me go back to my orthopedic doctor that I had when I broke my leg in May.  I just know that I will be out of work for 4-8 weeks with or without a operation. 

I had to call my work to let them know.  I really miss working and I know that they miss having me there.  I was just getting back in to the swing of things.  But that is life and there is no sense in me getting all upset about it.  There are worse things that it could be.
