Missing one of my daughter's "firsts"

So, I just tried to post this, to no avail. What is going on here? Grrr.

Anyway, I'm a homeschooler but my daughter participates in Saints - a Christian PE class specifically for homeschooled kids. Once a year they have a track meet with kids from all over (they meet at multiple parks on different days, etc). So, my husband took tomorrow off so he could go as well. Now, my little one is sick, but my oldest wants me there. Of course she wants Daddy more so she said I could stay home with Hannah, but I hate it. I hate knowing that I'm missing seeing her compete for the first time ever. But, it's supposed to be really cold tomorrow (for us) and we don't have clothes for it, so I can't see having my little one standing out there feeling sick and shivering teh whole time. Maybe we can go for an hour and see one or two of the races, but only time will tell.

Bummer!

Sorry you won't get to see her race. Maybe you could ask one of the parents to film it for you? It's not the same but at least you'll get to see it

I'm sorry you are going to miss it. It sure is cold today though, it was 41 when we left for school this morning, and you are right we just don't have the clothes for it.

I know how it feels to miss a "first". I'm sorry that that has to happen. Like someone else said, maybe you could watch from the car or just go for a short time.
