Think of your culture, think of it hard
Are you like your relatives or neighbors
Are you a display like in department stores
Sensing reflections, from windows inside
Yelling progress must beat an endless drum
Pounding, reverberating, subconscious hum
Whatever's said is measured Karma
Different scales of laying back or falling
Size up, calculate, compute, don't be late
In search for a medicant, take number
Pampered quilted maze, folksy past pasted
Furniture tells people a credit score fast
Spending time at Walden Pond sitting
Noticing something becoming triste rare
Each page a discovery, adventure
Suburbia running out of ink quills
Suggest histrionic inebriation
Outside or inside, flowers wilt
So far removed from yesterday's lust
Comparisons in fallen muddy paths
Listen to us complaining; we have much
Some obscenely flaunting and we should care
Father, mother, child, neighbors, norm to share
Lost to greed, envy; please bury despair
Breathe in, dawning sun's smile, breathe out with care

Alison, we need more Swedish Folk songs.
Your inner searching is revealed in your words...words that refer to being observed in a shop window but actually are about the writers' look at himself.
Oh...suburbia running out of quills....Go forbid. Especially not yours, Bill.
May I send you a quill from SA? From an Ostrich?
I try and get out and enjoy life and drag my husband with me ...he is always reluctant to leave the house, but happy when he actually is out enjoying the wind.

This is so much needed in today's times and maybe everydays times and ought to be republished by you every now and then. We don't have Walden Pond here, but we do have Mill Pond, with it's ducks (who never leave), one swan, whose mate has been gone for a long while and it's a wonderful place to just sit and reflect on everything and nothing.
Good for the soul.
Marilyn (Bravo, Bill!)
That's like William of mighty will... I admit my shortcomings
read that irritated you being English !!
Please do proceed to give me your lessons I have yet to write on
and remain your friend humbly provoking your voice in need be !!!

My pups stop to smell the flowers (literally). I think they have the right idea.
It's snowing right now. Was that your idea?
I especially like your closing lines. Very true.
