I am looking for volunteer host families.  You can be married or single adults, with or without children, who can provide meals and a loving home for one or two exchagne students.  Students arrive in August, so please let me know if you are interested or need more information.

If I didnt have so much going on in my life and household right now I woud love to host an exchange student. I have always wanted to..but with planning a wedding, working 2 jobs and already having a 16 yr old in the house....it is almost impossible. Good luck!

That would be fun to do. I had a couple of friends in high school who were exchange students. Maybe someday I can host one

No, I dont have much money. The students come over with there own spending money and insurance. They are responsible for their expenses. You have to give them a safe environment, a bed and three meals. They pay for all their school activities and books lunch at school and anything else they may want.
Great info. I wish we could do this, but we have a three bedroom house with two kids left to raise, so for now, we as a family are out of the question.
Thanks for the comments on my husband's current condition, COPD is a nasty condition.

Exchange students are a lot of fun. It's great for everyone involved. I highly recommend people try this some time.

That is interesting. I've never thought about hosting an exchange student. I don't think it would work with my current situation though.

I would love to but that would be scary having an exchange student living with us and be our age.
