While waiting for the Super Bowl this evening, my husband, daughter and I decided to watch a movie. Sarah, my daughter, had just purchased the movie "The Mist." So we chose this movie to kill some time while we waited for the Big Game.
Based on the novella, by Stephen King, this movie was directed by Academy Award nominated Frank Darabont. (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) This has got to be one of the most tense and terrifying films since The Shining.

After a mysterious mist envelops a small New England town, a group of locals are trapped in a supermarket.

They must battle a seige of otherwordly creatures while trying to save their lives. Death finds many of the locals and fears are immense.
A religious fanatic (Marcia Gay Harden) convinces the majority of the trapped locals that this is the hand of a vengeful God and fear threatens to tear the group apart. Marcia gives a remarkable performance. She is so convincing in her roll, you just want to slap her silly.

Staring Thomas Jane and Marcia Gay Harden, I think The Mist is one of the best horror movies ever made. This movie has one of the most shocking movie endings EVER! It will leave you sitting there, hands over your mouth, repeatedly crying out..."OMG!!!!!"

Great review :>}
I laughed out loud when I read "A religious fanatic (Marcia Gay Harden) convinces the majority of the trapped locals that this is the hand of a vengeful God and fear threatens to tear the group apart. Marcia gives a remarkable performance. She is so convincing in her roll, you just want to slap her silly." Because I wanted to throttle her all though the movie! LOL!
