My daughter in law's birthday party last week.....

I went to N.H. last weekend for her bday and she wanted a 'theme' party so my son and her Mom thought of a Madri Gras party. We had beads and lots of colorful decor all over the house and great southern food. We couldn't have hot cajun food because their stomachs can't tolerate it,(unlike mine:) We had CD's of jazz, blues and zydeco playing and had a game where you had a secret phrase and if nobody guessed when you said it, they had to give up one of their beads. Here are a few pics..

 

The King Cake she had....yummy yeast cake with cream cheese filling.

 

Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy and cole slaw....

Awww that's so neat - yall did more than I did and I'm from Louisiana! Great King cake and decorations too and love knowing that folks way up there are getting into it! Way to go. We're on the parade route in my small town and so the family has a huge shindig right down to a pop corn machine, barbeques, bands the whole nine yards! Salud
