Greetings folks. We are doing great at Shedding Light. I have decided not to accept any new members. In the spring, I will accept a limited number. Everyone can comment on the posts made by the group.
We have a great group now. Each person has carefully followed the steps I've created. We've then supported each member after they've written carefully thought out posts. I believe the first five steps are the most important. I have posted my reasons for each step. These posts can not be rushed. I have allowed a few new folks and we'll see how they do. On Wednesday, I will be weeding out many who are not participating in order to get the group down to 50 members.
Our goal is to lose ten pounds by March 20th, the first day of spring. However that is not the main emphasis. We aren't just shedding pounds but shedding light on our inner selves. Many have already shown remarkable progress after only 11 days.

I don't think I'll have a problem catching up. I've been thinking about making changes all along and had already begun planning out my strategies.
I'll read up on everyone tomorrow and ........I'm happy to be here - I know I'll be glad for the support.
I appreciate this feedback as support is very important.
The newcomers basically have to catch up on eleven days and that's quite a bit of work but it's not fair to the others or me to have to go back and explain each step...reading, commenting and following the posts are very important.

This comes about by treating the body with respect, treating their minds with respect and being all they can be - we all need to be the change we want in the world so we all need to love ourselves just as we are and focus on living life to the fullest by doing all we can to nourish our body, mind and spirit...they all go together. If you want your attitude to be one of cheer - pretend you're already there and smile all the time. Salud
I have been using Sparkpeople.com to help me in my search for a healthier lifestyle. They also encourage lots of water, fruits, veges, grains, and exercise.
I like your posts about cleansing our thoughts and bodies, and self-discovery. They add another dimension to health. It's not just about weight loss!!
Marsha, I need to check out Sparkpeople and do think many of the members of this group belong to that as well. Folks have to find what works for them. Check back in the spring as I'll have a group with limited amount of members in order to give individual attention to all. We're already two weeks into the group. I did accept a few last week but at that point, I realized that I had to almost start over explaning the whole premise of the group to them.
Just read all the posts and follow along and check back in the spring. Salud
