NAIROBI, Kenya (CNN) -- George Obama, the half brother of U.S. President Barack Obama, has been arrested by Kenyan police on a charge of possession of marijuana, police said Saturday.


George Obama was arrested in Kenya on a charge for possession of marijuana, according to police.

Inspector Augustine Mutembei, the officer in charge, said Obama was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis, known in Kenya as Bhang, and resisting arrest. He is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Mutembei said.

He is being held at Huruma police post in the capital of Nairobi.

Hmmm... I'm thinking this one will go away. If my brother were the President I could burn Kanya to the ground and still be home for supper.

If he does step in and make a few calls will this make him a bad guy? I would do it for my brother in a heartbeat. Would you do it for your brother or sister?

How about letting only those Gatherites who have never used marijuana comment on this piece.

There is a theory that in every family with several children, the second child has to take a different role than the first, and the third still a different role and so forth. Since Obama has done so well, perhaps his half-brother felt compelled to take a different role. Of course, since they have been on different continents almost all their lives, there is probably no connection at all.

At least he didn't solicit men for gay sex in public restrooms, sexually harrass his underage staff, take bribes from captains of industry, or hire mercenaries to go into New Orleans and shoot black people. He'll have plenty of time for smoking doobies now that he'll be living in a van down by the river.
