Let us take a look at where this started........mom wanted another child already had six, coming off a bankruptcy and no house of her own. She seeks medical treatment by IVF...
Not cheap
time consuming
etc, etc, etc.
She gets 8 embryos implanted in her, much more than most clinics or hospitals would recommend, and was she never counseled about the risks of her actions?
Most clinics have major counseling to determine what course of treatment is best, on the psychological side as well. Did they assume because her treatment was paid for by an anonymous person that they did not have to go through the processes.
Did some quack not think that doing an implant of 8 embryos would not result in a high multiple birth? Or was a quack looking to make fame for his actions?
Did the woman not realize that this risk was there, surely she did as it appears that she had been through fertility treatments before. I understand not doing a selective abortion of any of the babies, I wouldn't either,
But throughout this whole case I see a lot of actions that were not thought out.
And half or more of those actions were by a quack who initiated the treatment plan...
So if I had my way this ducktor would be stripped of his right to practice.
Given the publicity of this case, I have to wonder if she will be forgotten and not get the endorsements, and free items, as many don't have sympathy with her, I sure as heck don't, I'm glad the babies are healthy, I'm happy the mother is doing well, however, I can't say I see her being given tons of stuff for herself and the babies...........
Her words say she wanted one child her actions said she wanted more.
