Good news/Bad News

I've actually got some good news to tell about today. Some of you know that my boyfriend Tom got laid off from his job just two weeks before Christmas. The business he was working for closed. Well, they have decided to reopen and they called him to see if he wanted his job back. Of course he did. He started back yesterday.

 

Also, Tom has always wanted to be a fireman. He applied to our local volunteer fire company back in July. He finally got all his gear last Thursday. He was thrilled. Here is a picture of him with his gear on. And if you look closer you can see that he is holding that kitten he doesn't like. LOL

Now for the bad news. I am really sick again so I am behind with comments. I tried commenting yesterday but it was hard. I'm doing pretty good at viewing all my friends stuff so you at least get a page view. I've only been up an hour and I'm already wanting a nap. I still have a bunch of pictures and videos to share from my grandson's birthday party last weekend but I'm too tired to work on them. Plus I tend to cry when I look at those pictures. Which leads me to the other bad news. My oldest grandson has to see a pediatric cardiologist. They detected an irregular heart beat on his recent 5 year check up. It could be nothing serious but it breaks my heart that something could be wrong with my little guy's heart. Its a grandma's job to worry. So whether you pray, light candles, send positive vibes or something else.......I could use all the help I can get with this one. Thanks for reading.

Congratulations to Tom on the job and the work with the fire department!. Try not to worry too much about your grandson's irregular heartbeat until you have more information. My daughter was born with a hole in her heart, has had four open-heart surgeries, has an artificial valve and has had two pacemaker implants and she is 36 years old now and is doing well! I'll keep your grandson in my prayers and I hope you are feeling better soon! Take care!

Oh Brenda, goodness, don't be sooo worried about Gather and commenting........it's NOT a matter of life or death, you know, you need to take care of YOU....Gather will always be here.......you need to get off here and maybe go back to bed for awhile.......you won't get well by being on Gather and worrying your head off about comments........go get some rest, kiddo!

Brenda, why is it bad news always follows good news! That is wonderful about your boyfriend getting his job back and becoming a fireman! And yes it is a grandmothers job to worry, but you can't get yourself more sick over this. Nora is right, you have to take care of yourself too
