1. Mom is not on welfare.
The mom and her family are not on welfare. According to the Daily News, Jessica Zepeda, a friend, said "she is not on welfare" despite her parents filling for bankruptcy. So the entire argument about the state, you the tax payer supporting her kids has no basis whatsoever.
2. She wanted one kid, got implanted with 8 embryos.
"Generally, doctors will implant up to four of the resulting embryos and hope one or two develop. Implanting eight is "well beyond" the guidelines of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. The group said it is looking into Suleman's case."
Blame the doctors. Can you blame the docs? Â Are you saying 7 kids should not be allowed. Are you saying 7 kids should not be "allowed" unless you are married? Based on what? Do you want legislation banning IVF for unmarried people? Banned for people with more than X kids? What is X equal to? Who gets to decide? Banned for people with X kids who are not married? See where you going with this?
3. When she found out she was carrying 8 aborting some was an option.
"Still, she wouldn't abort some of the fetuses to reduce the risk to herself and the babies. "What do you suggest she should have done? She refused to have them killed," her mother, Angela Suleman, told the Los Angeles Times."
Who gets to decide which of those live and which one die. The irony is that the pro lifers are the most judgemental are the first to jump on who should have how many.
