My success so far is this: I am drinking more water, exercising more and eating fruits & veggies. Now I an dispelling 10 negative thoughts from my mind.
1. If you do not look n the mirror, you are not really overweight. I hate mirrors. Ask my kids. I do not have a full length mirror for that reason. My husband bought me one for Christmas and I was so disappointed.
2. If I skip meal I will not gain any more weight.
I will eat 5 small meals a day. My doctor told me to do this instead of 3 larger meals
3. I am not pretty or built well so why would anyone want to spend time with me.
4. If I stay in the house nobody will know that I am depressed
5. I am not good at anything anymore.
6. If I keep my curtains shut maybe nobody will know I am home.
7. If I do not walk on the treadmill today, nobody will know.
8. Why drink water, nobody cares anyway.
9. I am just in everyones way because I am so sick all the time.
10. I am such an inconvience to those who do care about me.
As you can tell, I am really down on myself. I feel like I am just a burden to eveyone because of my health problems. I hate the way I look and that is why I do not look in the mirror.
I will do better on all of these accounts. I will need support though. I am trying and this group is going to be the determining factor in my success. I will do this and I will make a chanage in my life and lose weight while doing it.
I will lose weight! I will feel good about myself again!! Yeah for me!!

I am glad that you are in here and we hope that we can all support you. Please feel free to read the other articles on the Negative sentiments and how folks are turning them around. If you are unable to walk or dance in place, perhaps you can get an exercise ball and use that. The main thing is you have to move for a half an hour a day. Thanks for posting to Shedding Light! I admire you for plugging along when things are so tough for you. I have no doubt you can lose ten pounds. You looked good in the pictures you posted of yourself - so go on and let's hear what happened by the end of the week.
