Just how much I like old school Madonna music. Someone on Idol tonight butchered "Like a Prayer", which made me want to hear it. I loaded up playlist.com, and brought the song up to hear the real version. Now, I'm stuck digging around for other Madonna songs I liked from back then- Material Girl, Cherish, La Isla Bonita, Dress You Up, Like a Virgin, etc.

I've dug through enough of them. I'm onto Cyndi Lauper now. Hmm...

I love my 80's music.

I was pretty young.. maybe 2nd or 3rd grade, and my babysitter always blasted Madonna, so I grew to love it. Though, there was nothing like being in 2nd grade at the roller rink, and being told by my older brother to request the song Centerfold. The DJ asked how old I was, and told me I was too young to be listening to songs like that. ;)

I LOVE 80's! Hubby got me an XM radio for Christmas. There is an 80's station...it's awesome!!

I need to find a skating rink around here, I think. That just sounds like a fun way to spend the afternoon one of these weekends.
Heather, back when I was a kid, I was at the rink every Friday and Saturday night. I was a skating fiend--for years! I could dance, jump, race, do the limbo-you name it, on skates I could do it! I went to a skating party with Kolten a couple of years ago and I totally sucked! I'd been telling him how easy it was and how good I was and then I kept busting my butt! I was thouroughly disgusted and vowed to never again stick my feet in anything that rolled! ha ha ha

I was never that good, but by the time I was old enough to get dropped off alone, it was fading from style. Oh, how I loved skating!
Up until a few years ago, Nick had never been on skates before. Raegan wanted a roller skating birthday party, though, so I dragged him. Boy, the rink was dead- there was us, and 2 families there the entire time, that was it. It made it easier to keep an eye on the kids, though.
I'd give anything to have all that energy I used to have for skating! Boy! I could go for hours with my pretty white skates! lol
I always wanted a pair of white skates, with some of those huge puff balls in white with blue tips. So cool...
I had those!!!!!!!!!!!! lmao

I wasn't much into roller skating. Now ice skating was my thing, I would spend hours at the ice rink.

I have found one here and taken my girls a few times. That is something I will have to go do soon.
Actually I bet they're even still stuck in a closet somewhere at my daddy's! Maybe I'll drag 'em out and skate around the driveway! lol
I always wanted to learn to ice skate, but have never been.

I love skating.

Like a Prayer.....brings me back to a bon fire at the beach. This song came on and I walked up a dune, the light from the fire making my white dress glow, and I sang this song right a long with Madonna.....goofy, but fun memory. I think that was also the night that I lost my car keys in the sand and had to hot wire my car to get home. Oh yeah, good times. lol.

Oh my gosh the 80's. I am beginning to think we had it pretty good. Alot of good things came out of the 80's. What about Suzanne Vega, the Bangles and the Go-Go's!!!! I still have a Frankie Goes Hollywood shirt.

my cable box gets karoke and they had like a virgin and some other fun older songs, I was singing them for Josh the othe rnight..... in my house in private is the only time I'll sing.
