Grapes, grains and get-going Greetings Folks:
I would like to know how group members are feeling. This is a timely group as spring is just around the corner. The most important thing is that each person is doing the basics - moving, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and a raw vegetable salad every day. We have moved on to grains by eating oatmeal for breakfast each morning.
I've touched a bit on how we feel about ourselves inside. If we have not let go of negative feelings, we will hang on to weight. Believe me, emotions carry lots of weight and it shows in all your actions. You are literally weighed down. We need to lighten the load on our bodies and our minds. Recycle these negative sentiments into positive feelings. You can do this by writing them down in a list, as many of you have done in the second step. That's a start.
Also, I want everyone to be aware of everything in your life. That is why I mentioned naming your scale. Begin to treat it with respect. In turn, you will begin treating everything with respect especially yourself. Be kind, be gentle. Don't let negative thoughts creep back into your mind, each time you weigh yourself. She/He is your friend and treat her/him like one. Smile and be grateful that you can stand up.
The last exercise is one that will force us each to look inside of ourselves a bit deeper. You sometimes think you're only what you see. However, you are so much more than that. Look at the big picture. Look at your kind heart and generous nature. Inspire yourself to be all you can be. Visualize an inner world filled with voices and they're all saying good things about you. That's where you want to be.
Here is a link to a food pyramid. I believe this will help those of you who do not know what is what to eat. I can't recommend food choices here because everyone has a different constitution. I will help you outside the group if you ever have questions. Thank you for reading and thanks for all the feedback! Salud

i love the thought of you stretching and breathing in the salty ocean air while letting go of everything that does not serve you...
Everything is going well. I am pleased. 3rd 20 oz jar of water is now all gone. Holding to routine. Cutting the sugar out has not really been difficult as I had expected. Don't even miss the butter. Salt doesn't seem to matter either. Seems like major success to me. Thanks.
Dorine - why don't you join the group or just hang around - all I can say is maybe having some honey in a glass of hot water may be beneficial. Yes, and mind all that butter but I know that's difficult...stay well though - think of you often - take care of yourself - message me if I can help you in any way...Salud
Donna, I love yoga too - and want to do another yoga class - we do some here but time for an update! Salud

For now I'm still battling the voices in my head, but I'm winning. I visualize myself ripping them out by the root, because if I just cut them down, they'll come back. I need room for the new voices to fill my head. Soon sweet little voices will have room to grow and spread out.
Rose H. You're the gardener - we all are gardeners of our life's garden but you know about weeds and cuttings and roots - so this analogy of ripping them out should be applied in your own way and put n the refuse or recycle or green bin to use to grow new voice blossoms. I am just planting the seeds of inspiration - you guys are the sunshine. Salud
