The drafting of a letter from President Barack Obama to Iran in which he reportedly seeks to ease Iranian concerns about regime change makes me wonder why Iran's dictatorial government is protected while the dictatorial government of Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe is protected.
The Guardian (UK) says, "State department officials have composed at least three drafts of the letter, which gives assurances that Washington does not want to overthrow the Islamic regime, but merely seeks a change in its behaviour. The letter would be addressed to the Iranian people and sent directly to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, or released as an open letter."
This report comes a day after The Times (UK) reported that President Obama wants to lead a new effort to topple the government in Zimbabwe. Iran is considered by many western nations to be the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism. Tehran has meddled in Lebanon, the Palestinian Territories, and Iraq. How is Iran able to avoid Mr. Obama's crosshairs, but Zimbabwe is not?

This is the AU's bailiwick. They have plenty of forces, economic and military available. Let them do something about it. What is amazing is that the rules for intervention suddenly have gone from economic/military threat to moral...that is an improvement?
Charles, do you know anything about the AU?
But it does have power. South Africa could settle this problem by itself if it wished too but it does not want to deal with "heroes of the anti colonial wars" and instead aids and abets the problems in Zimbabwe by refusing to even recognize them.
Unsure if you want specifics on dates of organization or what but yes I do know something about it.
If people do not like Obama they need to move out because Because Obama is going to act like the diplomat the American president is supposed to be.
Oh, well that settles it. If Jack hasn't seen any proof, it musn't be true. LOL.
