It Wasn't God Who Made Coffee Cup Gremlins... an Homage to Kitty Wells

As I sit here with the brewmaster makin'
the java that will get me crankin' inside
As I'm lookin' for the mug I was a sippin'
It brings memories of when I was a trusting guy

It wasn't God who made coffee cup gremlins...
They're not the angels l'd thought them all along
So many times I find mugs that are resemblin'
a biology experiment gone all wrong...

It's a shame that all the blame is on my heaaaaad
It's not true that my mentalities are lame
From the start most every mug that is mislaaaiiid
was 'cuz of the coffee cup gremlin who's to blame

It wasn't God who made coffee cup gremlins...

My favorite coffee mug ever somehow disappeared from my college apt after a party. It had a picture on it of a very, very pregnant Lucy yelling "Damn you, Charlie Brown!" on it.

My husband has one he uses in our office - it says, "Jesus Saves...Moses Invests".

LOL, cute, but so true. Can't ever figure out where my cup went. Then I have to worry about accidentally swigging from my husband's, which is an awful experience too.

I've been carrying around a coffee mug for the last fifteen years. My favorite Hallmark character was Maxine.

What happened to the picture? If you need an original of Kitty, I have a few that I took.

My mug has a woman in rollers, holding a broom and mop, and it says: Where are those damned fairy godmothers when you need them. (I think. I should probably go look and make sure. But I'm not getting up.)

Sandy, I'm going to go back to remedial HTML image posting class... I used to do it without problem, but lately it doesn't seem to be working most of the time...maybe there's a bug in my code? (My DNA code, that is.)

I'm expecting that I'll have to move out of my current apartment when the lease expires at the end of July. Since there are at least 4 coffee mugs that seem to have disappeared for the duration (yes, I've double-checked the microwave, refrigerator and the medicine cabinet) I may need to have a yard sale comprised almost entirely of items that I had thought were lost and have since replaced.

My therapist has one that says "That's Dr Bitch to you!" Mine is Dogbert saying "Out! Out! You Demons of Stupidity" and after enough coffee, a few demons do depart, so it works...
Also, will my odd socks be in your yard sale? They must be somewhere...
