I had Clearwire for 6 months. Soon I got fed up with the slow download speed so on January 12th I called Clearwire to cancel my account. After about 15 minutes of questions I was told that the account was finally canceled and asked if I wanted to sell my modem back to the company. I said yes. Well that was a couple of weeks ago. Today I eound my debit card had been hit for another charge of $36.95. I was pissed. We have 6 kids and cannot spare the money. That is why we canceled in the first place.
So I called Clearwire, and being very upset I raised my voice a few times and called the dude helping me an "asshole". I was hung up on. I called back and was helped by a person named Jane. She had informed me that my account was not cancelled at my request because the person I had spoken to on the 12th had decided to put a hold on the cancellation pending the return of the modem. ????????
What the hell did me returning the modem have to do with cancelling the account? I had purchased the modem when i signed up with the service to take advantage to the month to month billing plan. The modem is mine and they were buying it back from me. Why wait to cancel the account?????
i got bullshit answers and had to wait 20 minutes for the person to send the request to the right department that will issue my money back.
Clearwire sucks!!!!!!! DO NOT SIGN UP TO USE THIS SERVICE!

Some companies are only after the bottom line, costumer service nor there satisfaction is even part of their play books.
I'm sorry that you had to have this bad encounter, I can only pray that your next service provider is more up to your standards. I pay fifty dollars a month through the cable company, it's part of a package deal but I have almost no wait time for downloads.
