Update on my brother

Wow

That really sucks.

He thinks he has something but he has a vivid imagination. I'd let his lawyer contact my lawyer and see who goes to prison. He's such a loser. He has always been a person who tries to intimidate. I don't intimidate; I change my number and hire a lawyer.

What a royal mess, Carol! I hope you and your lawyer sue the pants off him and that he'll lose everything. Good for you....for changing your phone number and getting your own lawyer. He sounds like a low class jerk!

I'm so sorry Carol....I'm very glad that my brothers are not like that at all....though I have an uncle...well, another time...

What you should have done is let him call you again. And, once he did, use a tape recorder and prove exactly how much of a psycho he is.

How terrible! :( I hope it works out for you and your mom and that he gets what he deserves.

My mom is part of the problem. We're on the outs now, because she doesn't want to make trouble for him. It's out of her hands. I really thought he won, and more importantly, he thinks he won. I would have left it alone if he'd not made that harassing phone call, but he just couldn't leave it alone.

Just keep being humble Queen. It will all work out. He sounds like a pig.

Nothing against your mother but, I think that by enabling him, she's making matters much worse. He thinks he can do anything he wants because she won't fight back.
I feel so bad for her that she doesn't want to hurt him. But, he's hurting her, and you and the entire family.
What's more important, him or everyone in the family's happiness?

Stick to your guns, Carol. Your mother deserves better. I don't care what your brother's reasons are. It is wrong to take advantage of one's mother. I rarely talk about my values but I think that parents deserve to be taken care of in their old age. (You know: Honor thy mother and father!) Furthermore, he is not acting like an honest guardian of your mother's interests. I think that is the reason that he will eventually lose. It isn't because of anything that you have done. It is his own actions that created the difficulties. When you first wrote of your brother's behavior, I was outraged. Taking from one's own mother is repulsive in my mind. So, good luck to you and I hope the case turns out well. Let him scream and pull his intimidating tactics. It is the right thing to protect your mother's well being.

Intimidation tactics must have worked for him many times before. I am glad your standing up to him.

I agree with Joe T. One should be there to take care of their parents if at all possible. I live next door to my folks, and even though they sometimes drive me crazy, I'm glad to be near when they need me.

I have tried to take care of her, but she is an enabler. She almost got arrested for being an enabler. The cops are sick of her. She's wearing everyone out, and my brother know this, so he goes in for anything he can suck out of her.

Carol, I'm sorry your brother is rearing his ugly head and trying to intimidate you. Sounds like its time to fight back.
