Acrobat Falls to His Death During Performance

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. —  A performer with an aerial acrobatic troupe fell to his death Tuesday during a show in front of hundreds of people in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark says the 30-year-old man fell during what he described as a Cirque du Soleil-type performance in which the man slowly unravels his body from a sash while suspended in the air.

Sad,,, glad I didn't see it.
That's just horrible all the way around. A family has lost a beloved member and an audience, likely with children, saw a horrifying accident.

I am with Teresa, glad I didn't see it, but accidents do happen, can't be helped and can't be stopped it seems but always makes the news

One like that just happened here in Michigan over the weekend, she got caught up in her costume, she survived but will not be performing for 6 months or so.

I heard about that. I bet everyone in that arena was in shock. I don't care if it makes it more exciting for the audience, I think a net should always be used.
