My son made the honor roll

I am so happy. My kids came home from school and gave me their grade cards. My 10 yr old son made the honor roll. He ended up getting two certificates for a  free cheeze personnal pan size pizza at Papa John's. Since we rarely take our kids out to eat. Never to Papa John's because my husband hates their pizza. One certificate was for the honor roll. The other was for not missing any days at school this year. This is awesome. It is also the first time any of my kids have made the honor roll. He is very proud of himself as well. My teenage son even was nice to his younger brother and told him good job. I was impressed to say the least.

Horray! thats awsome! Both of my kids are above average. My almost 9 year old is a grade above where he is supposed to be. And my 4 year old got tested and is going to be in advanced pre k in sept. im so excited for him!

Congratulations to you and your son! That is wonderful! Hopefully, this will encourage him to keep up the good work. Not so he gets rewards but so he will eventually understand how important it is to be consistent, dedicated and hardworking. Those are traits that will help him for his whole life.

Congrats! My youngest (He's 8) just got an excellent report card. His teacher said he has a "Calm and joyous approach to learning." I just hope he keeps that attitude forever!

I understand what you mean. He does know having good grades will help in the future. We have talks about it before. He also has a great example of what not to do. Thanks to his teenage brother. His teenage brother is trying to teach him to lie to get away with things. So him getting good grades when his teenage brother says it doesn't matter...well, I think this just proves my teenage son wrong.

That is so cool!!! I didn't make the honor roll until my senior year in high school. I'm very proud of anyone that can do it in elementary school. I hope he keeps it up.
