It's snowing in Wading River, Long Island

It's a good thing I can work from home on days like this. Not that it's really bad; in fact that's the problem, it's not bad enough. Several inches of snow has already fallen but they have not yet cleared the local roads. It is still snowing but it might change to freezing rain.

we are getting the rain/freezing rain now. most of the schools have closed, the university has not therefore hubby works ;) This is the one thing I really hate about winter and thats the ice. Snow... no problem.. ice bleck

Update: around 10 AM the snow changed to rain. Now the snow is looking like melting styrofoam. It's starting to melt off of the bushes and patio.

Where I live in Ontario it's snowed all day and is supposed to stop tonight. We just saw a neighbor being pushed up our hill by a bunch of people who were shoveling out their driveways. When I say hill, I should explain it's a minor incline, not a real hill and the car was sitting in front of our house spinning its wheels.

My husband and I don't have to leave the house either. We wait until the roads are clear. It's called retirement.
