I saw this movie last night with my friend. She had suggested it. Mickey Rourke was good in this film and at points I almost feel a tear come on. It was sad.

Mickey's character Randy is a aging wrestler who is beaten up from years of being in the ring. Even though most of the stunts are coordinated, they are grueling and have a horrible effect on his body.

Marissa Tomei's character Cassidy is a older stripper who Randy cares about. She pushes him away, never date a customer rule. She also has a 9 year old son and is looking to leave the business.

He attempts to leave the stagelife after a heart attack, tries to reconnect with his daughter and start a real relationship with Cassidy.

Now a warning....there is nudity in this one.  Drug use and some sex.

I found this one ok and not bad. I found myself feeling very bad for these characters.

I want to see this. I have watched Mickey Rourke go from fame, to nothing and now back. I'm cheering the guy on.

I think he deserves some recognition for this role

Donna, what resonates with the film is how Randy's life mirrors Mickey Rourke's. The crying scene was all him. I had a chance to interview the director about the film. This is a small film which shows a side of life we normally don't see.
