With Mariana's blessing, could we possibly share some of our healthy recipes? This would be great, as I am running out of "exciting" ideas. I did make some artichoke hearts the other day that were delish! I took the hearts, sprayed Pam on the fry pan, put in the hearts, quartered, and sprinkled them with lime juice. Really, really good! Or the shrimp scampi that I use NO butter on. Just chicken broth. Really good. Please help me!

These look very good. I would love to hear from everyone with healthy recipes especially the ones you use. My basic one is red beans, brown rice, cornbread, mustard greens, sweet potatoes - it sort of covers everthing and you can make burritos later on with wheat tortillas. Of course, I have others and was going to get to that down the way but please go ahead as we could all use some different ones and there are many folks out there who could use some good ideas. Salud
VERY lowfat, high in protein and plenty of salty flavor. I added red pepper flakes last night but left them out tonight. I usually like a LOT of spice (too much for a lot of people) but I find I am wanting to taste the flavors of the ingredients themselves, not covering them up.
I did add soy sauce (unusual, I only use kosher salt these days, which has much less sodium since it is in flakes) but that and the garlic powder was it. I'm full, too.
This may help you Chris - cut and paste. Also, if you post recipes, wait until we begin talking about them - some folks aren't ready to go there yet - we want everyone to be eating a raw salad a day, an apple, an orange and a banana and drinking water before we start introducing other foods - and we will be concentrating on the food pyramid, depending on each person. Salud
I am relieved in one way, though. You mentioned salad, apples, oranges and bananas...I already eat at least two of those a day. Yippee! Two healthy things I already do!
