Expectations well known, usual candor
Ecclesiastical streak, on your knees for answers
Echo lane, echo hill, echo minding, standing still
Looking far away, peaceful sky, sunset hues
Mind out there walking, daydreaming has news
So precious, so thankful, yet unworthy
Fraternizing with friends, dinner candles
Celebratory winds, idle chat, butter, banter
Smile gave, smiles made, smiling thoughts hereafter
Shrine shines in each mind of beginning obligations
Stepping stones weaving into rivers and streams
No matter if by foot or sail, on goes the journey
Loquacious sun drenched words a-floating
Adorable, enchanted dancing, sights and sounds
Happy day, happy eyes, happy as sunny blue sky
Seasonal life weather, highs and lows, on track
Switching on a light, finding right reminders
Just an ordinary day, ordinary ways and attractions
Categorizing the clock, snapshot blocks
Situational management, haves to do, everyday
Accept why, accept dyes, accept with caring sharing eyes
Let not moments see, contemplations like dust
Precious is the ordinary, precious full of love
Precious is thankfulness, new dawn, each thirsty dove

I enjoy this, William.
This is a delightful piece of verse written with thoughts on a wing and the joy that was filling your heart! Every lines is put together so artistically that it becomes a song.
My favorite lines were the conclusion
"Precious is the ordinary, precious full of love
Precious is thankfulness, new dawn, each thirsty dove"
May your words keep encouraging us to be thankful. Thank you, for sharing this joy and this reminder to celebrate the ordinary.
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting
I wish I could wake up with such
deep and beautiful thoughts.
I just wake up sleepy. LOL
love the poem and the sentiments. was going to comment on this earlier when I got a call to pick up Elise, and we were out most of the day, came home, fell asleep, lots of napping lately, Billy comes home tomorrow, will be nice to have someone in the house again.
I have no words for this one but may I say it's powerful in it's gentleness.
I'm reminded of the simple joy in life by watching Liam this week with the excitement of his birthday. He keeps reminding me that he has never had a REAL party before (can't count those parties where only family came!) I was telling him that he would be 6 yrs old when he woke up and he was rather disgusted by my naive belief. He said, "GRANDMA! I won't be six until I take the first bite of cake!"
I'd never known that before!
