Tomorrow, January 26th, the Chinese New Year begins ushering in the Year of the Ox. This is my year and I'm considered hard-working and dependable. Is anyone else going to be celebrating their year tomorrow - The Year of the Ox? Salud

I am upset right now because of my Ivy Tech 3-way video course, so I am having a hard time concentrating on things here. Can't get a descent education around here. Money is their game is my take on Ivy Tech. They could care less if they give a student quality education.

I'm a Rat, myself. My Asian relatives are celebrating in Hong Kong. (I'm stuck here) I guess I'll just wish the guys in the Chinese restaurant Happy New Year! AND You too - of course!
Though I'm not up to celebrating this year, many years I've been at a restaurant in Chinatown for a feast with friends, often set up by a Chinese friend whose birthday is Jan. 30, so she likes to make her birthday celebration a New Year's banquet. We eat the long noodles, the whole steamed fish, the strands of jellyfish, and other special dishes such as shrimp with broccoli and walnuts in creamy white sauce... When we finally get to the soup, we are replete and happy. Watching the lion dances in the street is another seasonal joy I am missing this year.
Oh Dorine, now you are talking! I think you should write a post all about this - it sounds totally wonderful. Oh I'm getting hungry now! I love to celebrate everything - life is the moment, life is the day - the month and now. Thank you!!
