A Pennsylvania dog groomer thought she had come up with the perfect sideline for her business: Piercing kittens' ears and necks and marketing them as "gothic" over the Internet. Read the rest of the story here. All I can say is this person really needs to have her head examined! Poor kitties!

Where is the outrage at that? It's actually cutting a part of the animal off, as opposed to piercing the skin of the animal.
One of the dogs we have adopted had her dew (not sure on the spelling) claw removed, and her tail docked by her original owners. I have no idea why it was actually necessary to have this done. We were told it was because they did not want her to knock anything over. She is a big dog. But, do not get a big dog if you are not prepared to deal with the consequences of having one, I say.
