I have been wanting to buy a new camera for quite some time now. Funds being little to nothing I decided to check out Ebay and shopgoodwill.com for a new to me camera. I found a Sony Cyber-shot with 5.0 mega pixels on Ebay for $20 including shipping costs. Now I knew that there were better cameras out there, but for my money it was what I could afford. My last camera is an Olympus D-460 with only 1.3 mega pixels. The Sony is quite a step up from that one.
After I took a few pictures with the camera I checked them out on the display screen. What I found were not only the photos I had taken but quite a few others. The photos on the camera were of a village, a mountain, and rock formations. I have no idea where these were taken. The rock formations are great!
Does anyone recognize where these may have been taken?

It sounds like you got a wonderful camera and for such an incredibly low price. Congratulations on your bargain.

Name the places you have been. Maybe that might help narrow it down some.
try looking someplace in tropical africa where conflicts are currently or recently taking place
The sign in the building looks to be Spanish and the village is typical of the small towns I saw in Costa Rica but in Costa Rica nobody ever carried guns but they do that in the countries I listed and the scenery in those placesis very similar to Costa Rica.
Definitely not Hawaii. . .
Rest easy
Ie specially love the last one, which reminds me of an animal (dog) sleeping.
Wish I could help you find out where they are from. I agree with those who think it is somewhere in Africa. With such unique formations ( like the dog, and the water flowing down from the one tall boulder formation ) I'd hope some answer might be found.
Best of Luck !!
I'll come back to see if someone finds the proof
On the building with the Red Roof, the only thing I could make out was the bottom word, which seems to say "Mall" or "Hall." The top word seemed to me to end with "den" or "een" and it looks like there is a "z" in it. Perhaps the originals have a higher pixel density and could be worked with more successfully.
I'm still betting it's in Africa somewhere, based on the looks of the landscape and people.

As part of my marketing experiments, I am conducting a contest that so far has been a major flop. Maybe you will be the luck winner. The prize is 5 dollars cash which would be astronomical by some standards. Go to my profiles and see my post, "Place Your Bets..." to enter.
check out this photo it looks very much like your photos....Jamaica
And, thanks for commenting on my post, too!
