Today I went to CVS to practice learning how to get the good deals and I think I got somewhere today.
I ended up buying items in the first transaction that would produce ECB's which ended up being 1 Gillette & 1 Head & Shoulders shampoo (buy one at $4.99 get 3 ECB's.) and Almay make-up (Buy $10 in Almay get $5 ECB's) deals. I had $4 in coupons and ended up paying 21.83 including tax and producing $11 ECB's.
Then in my second transaction I got the B1G1F off of any Revlon make-up. The most expensive item was $7.99. I used $3 in manufacture coupons and used a 5 ECB and got the Revelon for .22 cents...all tax. And I still have $6 ECB's for the next trip.
I think at first it's important to buy something you need that will produce ECB's, investing about $20. With my second transaction I was able to see how to roll them over and use coupons and get the Revlon essentially free. I didn't get any ECB's with the revlon transaction but I still have $6 left! Which will certainly help me get a good deal next time!
Stay tuned to see if I can spend just pennies next month or if I find myself shelling out more than I should.

I rarely go there even for their deals, I just don't need most of the stuff they have on sale.
Last week I was able to get tons of makeup for Missy and I at a really great price. I now have stuff that I can save up for replacing and since Missy is starting to wear makeup I would rather get it for $1-4 than see her paying $8-12 for the same things.
I think I'm going to do the Alamay deal this week. Maybe a few others. I think you're off to a great start!
