These four months since September of 2008 have brought much agony and disappointment for many consumers and investors (including myself).
I hope to bring topics of interest to some of us who are thinking about "changes" in our personal finance logic and behavior. I hope to allow you to re-think your long held assumptions, and perhaps help you change your attitude about money, investing, debt, retirement, etc. My posting will focus on the personal finance basics. A short list of key points I will be discussing are provided herein:
- Spend less than you earn
- Save up for a rainy day
- Don't borrow more money
- Reduce or eliminate debts
- Be wise and be proactive about your finance
- Learn to give
These and other topics are discussed at length in my previous posts. I have posted my personal finance advices elsewhere on gather.com. I suggest searching for key phrases at gather.com (include the quotes):
"Personal finance Topic"
"Interesting Statistics on Personal Finance"
"I found some money in my wallet"
"Insane financial practices"
"Jeff's Editorial"
"Jeff's Stupid Topic"
"Taking Control of Your Taxes"
