Yesterday, my daughter dwarf rabbit almost became rabbit stew. Why? because my sweet little daughter thought it was okay to get her rabbit out of the cage and allow it to run around the house while everyone was sleeping. Little did she realize mommy said her bunny was not allowed out unless daddy or me was up for a reason.
The bunny decided to chew through the wires to keyboard. My first thought was how did my dad cook them rabbits? Carrots and potatoes? I have both in the fridge. So, to say the least I was not a very happy camper yesterday morning.
Hubby must not of been to happy either. Because he decided to leave in a huff. However he came back with gifts. One beging a wireless keyboard with a wireless mouse. I am trying to get use to it. I notice the wireless mouse is slower moving than my old mouse with a ball. But that could be because I am not use to it yet.
My husband and I did talk to my daughter about what happened. My daughter didn't think anyone ate rabbits. I told her next time she talks to grandpa Leo. To ask him how to cook a rabbit. He would tell her. As I ate rabbit alot as a child living out in the country. But I think she got the point when I said if that rabbit eats anymore cords because she is not supervising it properly. I would make rabbit stew out of it. Anyone in the mood for rabbit stew?
I couldn't leave this post without adding a rabbit stew recipe.

Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and simmer rabbit stew for 2 hours. Add carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms; cook for about 25 to 30 minutes longer, or until vegetables are tender. Combine 1/4 cup flour and 1/3 cup water; stir until well blended and smooth. Stir flour mixture into the broth; cook and stir until thickened.
Rabbit stew recipe serves 4.
If you enjoy using a bunch of spices for flavor. You may want to add some to this recipe. As it is pretty simple and bland.

Oh I did forget to mention my hubby bought new computers speakers. As well, thanks to the bunny chewing on them as well.
I will say if I didn't find her so cute besides the fact I could never kill ana nimal that wasn't attacking on of my family members....she would of been stew already.
I do think my daughter learned her lesson. as she has the bunny out right now with its harness and leash on. She is keeping her close.
My mom got me a wireless mouse and keyboard in high school when I homeschooled, because I was always on the computer, and I loved it!
I have one at home now, but it's been a while since I've used it. I'm mostly on the laptop now. I've often thought about taking the mouse to work, because it would make my desktop more efficient, but I never think about getting it approved while I'm at work.
