Being that it was Friday, I set off for the movies - $6 is a very tempting price. I went to see Inkheart - based on the book. I am thinking it was loosely based as I remember reading the book, but very little in the movie seemed familiar. I love the premise - some people, when they read aloud, can draw the characters out of the book, off the page and into "real life". Brenden Fraser plays his usually bumbling role - and is quite cute as he does it all. I don't even know if it's worth seeing on DVD.
I went to UNO's Pizzaria - had rosemary chicken breast, with roasted veggies, and brown rice - excellent. Of course I had to top it off with the mini-sized (according to them) individually baked cookie topped with icecream and whipped cream - yummy, but quite over the top.
I had to rest when I got back home - and finished The Rescue Artist. It's in part about the heist and reacapture of The Scream, the Munch painting that's been used in so many cartoons, etc. The book is also a partial biography of the police office (he'd been working on Scotland Yard's Art Squad when this occurred - now is independent). The book was very interesting.

The book sounds really interesting. I saw "The Scream" in an exhibit in London dog years ago. I really like Munch's paintings generally, but then I am the "glass half empty" sort.
I liked the book Inkheart, but I didn't love it. The book sounds more interesting than the movie or the cookie to me!
