Race and Riot
My cats come in on little cat feet
That is, like an elephant herd.
They hang from the ceiling and teeter on doors,
And ignore my discouraging words.

As they leap from door frame to dresser
They scatter all things in their wake.
Curiosity one day compelled them
To corner a startled black snake.
No thing is safe from their interest.
They pry open cabinets and jars.
If it’s cardboard, they’ll simply consume it.
In truth, they belong behind ba
rs.
Meanwhile my dogs both lie sleeping
Despite their hard earned reputation.
If someone attacks, they roll on their backs
In sweet canine supplication.

Fun place.
Often turns into a raging souse.
Put the glass down and back slowly away from the bottle, Sarah. Thaaat's a good girl!
I have one cat who obviously resents my computer time - this morning I tried logging on for an hour - only to find she'd disconnected the plug to the screen.
Obligatory blues quote: "Oo-ooh, black snake all in my room."--Blind Lemon Jefferson.
Love the BLJ quote. I'm a crawling king snake for you, Nippy!
This sounds like my place... except that my little fur darlin' prefers to bring me these nice big (really big!!) furry spiders... if I'm lucky she will make sure they are dead or close to it.
Not to get technical or anything.
Noted, applied and appreciated.
And...
