There are many images, many truths
Colloquial and formal atmospheres
Rooms alone, rooms filled, half strangers
Learning trust has a room for all
A closed door, should a tap or silence go away
Give a smile and leave a good tip, if able
Restaurant table is clearly this scenic wave
Postcards sometimes fantasy, sometimes don't
Anticipation meets realization's jolts
No lines in the sand, solved by violence
Why, is a great question, do we have war
Dialed up faces for today, scheduled responsibility
Time management gig, book read, many lives lead
It's overload and there's great need to just groove
Sails billowed through many moons innocent
To taste innocence is to know what life's about
So many desires , pleasures, marzipan treats
Stepping stones, traps, fines, bills to pay
One moment notion, a room full of toys
Most just a weakness, allure, not needed
Times of white and gray, whiskers and shades
First white one came in 95 to this black beard
History with hidden mercy for hedonism
Thirteen stars and stripes, forward, look at us
Good stewards of environment, sister and brother
Is there's no time to relax, to recycle, chip in
Hello, always a start, for all are us defenders
Together as one, let there be respect and real love
Overlooking the differences, loving people and land
Be a good steward please for great memories
In an age where people lived a principle
Shall this be reality or dreamed dust
What shall we be, if injury, it's greed
Why should God love us, if we do not love us
It's really that simple, the answer is how come

Overlooking the differences, loving people and land"
Very profound words, William.
Your poem triggered so many thoughts.
"Postcards sometimes fantasy, sometimes don't

So many times we are disappointed by the reality. I pray we won't be this time. It's hard to trust when we have been disappointed so many times. In the end, it really is up to us to pull together. We can not depend on one individual, even one with good intentions, to get us out of this mess if we aren't willing to help each other.
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting
Where they live or how they worship should not be what makes you love them. It is all in thinking before speaking. Not saying things to hurt or harass, saying only kind words.
I thought of inauguration day.
Quite inspirational, William.
