Work out each sleeveless irony
Redolence, impish incomplete
Gentle word existential
Estivated sun, yonder shadow
Tired, cranky, learn to mellow

Culture, marvel and time shaper
Harmony refrain and filter
Tried on for size, lifestyle shift
Threading elements, finding life
Wish upon a star, smiles entice

Patterns, colors, crystals in light
Storybook angels, bells voice find
Pleasant meditative morning
So sweet, try better, happy thoughts
Celebrate life, forget the clock

Blueprints of condiments charming
Breathe another year, heart warming
Snowflakes, inky sky, moon peeking
For each degree night finds leaving
Calming wind of one note chiming

Full length feature, star shining sky
Child, moon, clouds, questions why
Nuanced answers, rearranging
This moment, hereafter, sandy steps
Acceptance, a smile, sit and sip

No, I'm not fast. Actually, about an hour ago I stumbled onto a poem I had written last November. The poem was about Christmas, but I just couldn't get the verses right, so I just put it aside. I just took this old never finished poem and cut away some words and added some words here and there. I actually sculpted this. I guess some will now want me to sculpt a statue of David, but a keyboard doesn't cut stone.

A generous spirit toward self, a search for the ´alegría de la vida´, an acceptance of the humdrum of each day and its attendant blessings--all these qualities of gratitude toward a human world worth living in, permeate this poem of infinitesimal miracles.

This is a poem about threading thoughts so they become pearls of understanding. I like and admire so much this short, staccato phrase style you´ve evolved in the series that you´ve created around a new awareness of yourself as a fresh existence in time, William.

This poem bunches together sweetness and depth in the particulars of its finite day.
