Sloppy in the Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose mess this is I think I know.
She never seems to clean it, though.
She’d rather write and gather points
Than be a drudge and sweep this joint.

Her little cats must think it queer
To do so little grooming here.
They give their heads a puzzled shake.
This "writing" is a sad mistake.

Such mess, unholy dark and deep,
Would make June Lockhart sigh and weep,
But I have work, this mess will keep!
