My Mom’s Health Update ~ Prayers Requested

My Mom’s Health Update

My Mom was released from the hospital and contracted pneumonia. I took her back to the doctor on Monday and the doctor says she has level 7 Pnuemonia and gave her three shots. One an antibiotic, one to clear her lungs and another one for I don't know what. Yesterday she went to her pain management doctor about her back and got three more trigger point shots for the pain.

Today she went to a Pulmonologist and the doctor told her that her MD was giving her something for her heart that was not to be mixed with meds for someone with Asthma. (She was in the ER Tuesday night with an asthma attack) As soon as they do some tests the Pulmonologist seems to think he knows what is wrong with her but won't confirm until after the tests. He seems to be pretty optimistic about the medication that he can give her.

The Nephrologist appointment is on the back burner for now as all of the other health problems are right now taking precedent.

Your continued prayers are needed.  As you may well understand we are all under a lot of stress in my family.  Especially my 78 year old Father and I who are the ones who spend the most time with my Mom.  Please if you have a moment to include us in your prayers, we believe in the power of prayer and do ask that you help us with this.

It seems like a lot of people who have been in the hospital get sick some how when they get to come home.. I pray she will get well.

Esther - sister - you are in my prayers - your mother has been in my prayers - I know about mixing asthma and heart meds - not good - but glad they caught it - envision your mother in good health - concentrate on her good health and visualize her up and smiling and healthy. Thank you so much my friends. It is a very hard time for us all and I am just having a hard time keeping a smiling face these days. The illness has lingered for over a month solid now and I must admit to being more worried than just concerned now.

I appreciate all of the kind thoughts and prayers.

Esther, I am so terribly sorry to hear that your mom has been so ill......I'm wondering if the doctors gave her too much medication/too many shots that counteracted each other.......I certainly hope that she will be well soon, and I know all this must be taking a huge toll on you and your dad.....know that you all are in my prayers! sorry to hear your mom is sick, wishing her a speedy recovery! I do have a question do you know the name of the drug for your heart that should never be giving to an asthmatic? Since I care for two people with asthma and heart disease Im interested in know what to watch out for

how is your mom today?....so glad the one doc was up on the contraindications of the med combos....even herbal concoctions can have bad effects when combined with certain meds

sending her "good medicine" (ie., positive energies)

I have asthma and you can NOT mix some heart med's like beta blockers with asthma meds because the beta blockers..block they asthma meds from working. It happened to me and noone told me either. Sounds like the new doctor knows what will work now. Prayers with you!
